| Personal History: Hannah was born in early 1980 to Helen and Michael Abbott. She has one younger brother, Jeremy, who is seven years younger than she, and a younger sister, Harmony, who is fourteen years younger than she. Her childhood was as normal as the Ministry would allow. Her family, despite being quite old and having roots in Godric's Hollow, is in no way, shape, or form rich. They were solidly middle-class and both of her parents worked, her father in the Ministry and her mother in a shop. Her parents never fully agreed with the new Ministry's stance on a lot of issues, and they taught Hannah to treat people equally, despite their blood. This was difficult for her to do in school, though, especially when she'd see the half-blood students being so mistreated by staff and students alike. Unable to speak up for them, for fear of retribution, she'd often purposely miscast and fudge her assignments, leading to the assumption that she was just another "dumb" blonde. The assumption was so popular that, after a while, even she bought into it, clearly not living up to her potential. Things went, albeit slowly, until the bottom dropped out of her life in her 6th year. Her parents were caught in an explosion engineered by the Ministry and both died as a result of their injuries. Hannah left school immediately in order to be with her family. She and her siblings were sent to live with their aunt and uncle and, when she returned to school the following year, she was a much more somber, serious girl. After graduating from Hogwarts, Hannah immediately began searching for jobs that included room and board, not because she disliked her aunt and uncle, but because she knew that their hospitality would only go so far and, as an adult, she would have to be the one to provide for her younger brother and sister. She's working hard towards the goal of getting custody of them from her aunt and uncle. |
